I am Nathan Hokenson, a 20 year old Junior at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks. My intended major is film, but at UAF I’m forced to be a film minor with a Journalism Major which is fine by me. I work in the university’s Student Activities Office. A little about how I ended up here. After graduating from Heidelberg American Highschool (in Germany), I moved to Virginia where I proceeded to attend a horrible excuse for an academic establishment known as the Northern Virginia Community College System. I attended VCCS through their campus in Annandale , Virginia. After a year at this poor institution I transferred to the University of Alaska in Fairbanks where I have since found beauty in the form of classes, people, scenery, enormous bonfires and snow. It is true that Fairbanks is a town-sized city in a secluded valley, but this is quite alright with me, because everything I need right now is in this arctic valley.
